Democratic Caucus member At-Large
I am interested in serving on the Democratic Women's Caucus Steering Committee to further the number and voice of democratic women in Monroe County. I am a 25 year employee of the City of Bloomington and have had the chance to work for four democratic mayors. I currently serve as precinct committee chair for my precinct, Van Buren 2, a position either my husband Jim or I have held for several years. I have served as treasurer for two political campaigns, Jim Kennedy and Jim Sims. I have also completed Emily's List training.
I feel that my background and experience would be a good fit for the Caucus as it moves forward over the next year. Even though 2009 is not an election year, it will still be a year of planning for the Caucus as it reflect on what it has accomplished the past election years and plan for the upcoming years. I would like to be a part of that planning process.
